Pedestrian-involved crash leaves one person dead in Horry County
One person died in a Horry County crash Tuesday evening, officials said.
Trooper Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a van while crossing Rush Road near Long Avenue Extension in Horry County.
The crash happened at 6 p.m., Pye added. The person in the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
SCHP is investigating the crash. Anyone with any information regarding the deceased is encouraged to contact the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
