The 2021 Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon is coming up. These roads will be closed

Myrtle Beach will have road closures to accommodate participants of the 2021 Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon this weekend, city officials said Wednesday.

The two-day event will start on Saturday with a 5K race from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Market Common and will continue on Sunday with the marathon from 7 a.m. to noon all across the city. Saturday’s 5K race starts at 7:30 a.m. on Farrow Parkway at Hackler Street, and Sunday’s Mini Marathon starts at 7 a.m. at the intersection of Eighth Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard.

Organizers encourage drivers to use the bypass and Kings Highway to navigate around the city, according to the Facebook post.

Road closures

Saturday

  • Eastbound Farrow Parkway from Phillis Boulevard to Hackler Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Eastbound Farrow Parkway from Phillis Boulevard to Pampas Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. to about 8 a.m.

  • Southbound Pampas Drive to Myers Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. to around 8:30 a.m.

  • Westbound Myers Avenue to Farrow Parkway will be closed from 7 a.m. to approximately 9 a.m.

  • Single lane closure on eastbound Farrow Parkway from Meyers Avenue to Phillis Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

  • Forbus Court will be closed from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m.

Sunday

  • Northbound Grissom Parkway from Mr. Joe White Avenue to Granddaddy Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. to approximately 10 a.m.

  • Southbound Ocean Boulevard from 63rd Avenue North to First Avenue North will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

  • Eastbound 62nd Avenue North from the bypass to Ocean Boulevard will be closed.
