Myrtle Beach’s newest Goodwill location is set to open in The Market Common soon.

Originally set to open in August, the new 15,000-square-foot Goodwill thrift store is expected to open for business Oct. 28, according to Laura Payne, event specialist with Palmetto Goodwill, which will operate the store.

The store is located on Agnes Way, near the Walmart Neighborhood Market by the intersection of U.S. 17 and Farrow Parkway.

It will have a customary drive-through donation drop-off for new or gently-used clothes and items.

“That’s the fun of Goodwill, you never know what you’re going to go in and find. It’s the thrill of the thrift,” Megan Fink, vice president of marketing at Palmetto Goodwill, told The Sun News in March. A large part of Goodwill’s mission in the community is training and creating employment opportunities for residents, particularly those who are in need of assistance.
