At least three dead, multiple injured after transit bus crashes in Georgetown county
Multiple people were injured and at least three people died when a transit bus crashed into an SUV Saturday morning in Georgetown county.
Officials responded to Browns Ferry Road and Franks Williams Drive around 7 a.m. and reported multiple injuries.
There were 35 people on a Williamsburg County transit bus, including the driver, when an SUV hit the bus head-on. The three deceased include the two people in the GMC Yukon SUV and one person from the bus, officials said.
The coroner’s office has identified the victims as Kellen Graves, 42, of Kingstree, Kyle Wilson, 42, of Andrews, and Cedric Reddick, 33, of Kingstree.
The roads will be shutdown for an “extended period of time,” the Georgetown Emergency Management Services announced.
