Myrtle Beach police arrest alleged peeping Tom

Myrtle Beach police arrested a man suspected of being a peeping Tom.

Police arrested Julio Perez, 19, for allegedly looking into a window of an apartment in the 800 block of 66th Avenue.

Police received the call around 10:30 Sunday evening, after having received a similar call to the same residence on Saturday night. However, on Saturday night, police did not see any suspects when they arrived.

According to the police report, the victim was in her room when she felt like someone was watching her.

She asked another person in the apartment to go check it out. That person went outside and saw the suspect allegedly looking in the window, according to the report.

The report also says that the witness confronted Perez, and Perez said he was looking for car keys that had been thrown there and then he ran into the woods.

When police arrived, they found Perez in the woods and charged him for public intoxication and with peeping, according to the police report.
