Coroner: Person drowns Sunday near Hughes Landing in Aynor

The Horry County Coroner’s Office reports Sunday that one person has drowned in the Aynor area.

Deputy coroner Michelle McSpadden said the drowning occurred Sunday near Hughes Landing in the Little Pee Dee River. She said she expects to release the victim’s identity at some point on Monday.

No further information was available Sunday evening.
