Conway asking churches to chime bells Sunday in solidarity with Charleston
Many Charleston churches plan to ring their bells Sunday in remembrance of the nine Emanuel AME Church murders, and the city of Conway is asking local churches to do the same.
Conway is requesting area churches ring their bells at 10 a.m. Sunday in honor of the nine people massacred inside Emanuel AME Church Wednesday night, according to a press release sent out by city officials.
The chimes will also represent support and encouragement to the people of Charleston, the release said.
