There have been 53 people killed as of July 30 in Horry County as a result of traffic-related incidents or drownings.

January through mid-June, 21 people died in 2014, 26 people died in 2013 and 21 people died in 2012, according to the S.C. Department of Public Safety.

Municipality police departments record their own statistics and they are not included in that total.
