Two people hurt after plane crashes into Horry County woods

Two people were hurt after a small plane crashed in Horry County Thursday night.

Neither person’s injures are believed to be life-threatening, according to Horry County Fire Rescue spokesman Tony Casey.

First responders went to S.C. 9 and Nichols for the single-engine plane crash around 8 p.m., according to Casey. Crews found the plane in the woods and helped the two people from the scene. They were taken to the hospital.

Loris Fire Department and Horry County police also responded to the crash.
