One person seriously injured at fire in Windsor Green apartment complex

One person was “seriously” injured in a fire at the Windsor Green apartment complex Friday afternoon.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the complex around 12:45 p.m. for the blaze. The fire was contained to one unit. There hasn’t been an update on the injured person’s condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Conway Fire Department, Myrtle Beach Fire and Horry County police also responded to the scene.

Windsor Green is home to other high-profile fires in recent history. In 2013, several buildings were destroyed in a massive fire at the complex. In 2018, another large scale fire tore through the neighborhood.
