Coroner identifies man killed in crash on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach

A vehicle collision on Highway 17 near Vereen Drive in North Myrtle Beach just after midnight Monday morning resulted in one fatality.

North Myrtle Beach resident Devin Hartman, 30, died at a local hospital of injuries he sustained in the crash, according to the Horry County Coroner’s office on Wednesday night.

Duck’s Bar Grill & Sidewalk Cafe owner Dwayne Porter posted Tuesday on Facebook that Hartman was a cook at the business.

“Devin was not only a great young man, but an asset to Duck’s and part of the Duck’s family and he will always be remembered,” Porter posted.

The North Myrtle Beach department of public safety is investigating the crash.
