One dead, three hurt after Myrtle Beach area mobile home catches fire
A 68-year-old woman from the Myrtle Beach area died in a fire at a mobile home in the Socastee area, officials say.
Three other people were hurt in the Thursday morning blaze.
The Horry County Coroner’s Office did not release the name pending family notification, but did say the victim was a 68-year-old woman.
Crews responded to the fire around 5:45 a.m. near the 6700 block of Enterprise Road in the Socastee area outside of Myrtle Beach. Crews had the fire under control around 7 a.m., according to social media posts.
Horry County police and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are investigating the fire.
