One dead following three-vehicle crash in Horry County on Tuesday morning

One person died Tuesday morning in Horry County following a three-vehicle wreck, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Brian Lee.

A Ford Mustang was traveling south on S.C. 905 near Station Road at approximately 7:50 a.m., when it crossed the center line and struck a GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling north, Lee said. The Mustang was then struck by a Dodge Minivan traveling north, causing it to run off the left side of the road.

The driver of the Mustang, 25-year-old Jessica Hughes of Longs, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office, died as a result of the crash, according to Lee. Others involved in the wreck were taken to the hospital.

The SCHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
