A Surfside Beach woman sent her boyfriend out on an errand, and he came home with a $250,000 winning lottery ticket, according to a release from the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The winner, who is unnamed in the release, said she asked her boyfriend to cash in a $50 winning ticket and buy her another one. “Wow!” the winner said when she scratched off the quarter-of-a-million-dollar payday. “This has changed my life.”

The odds of winning $250,000 playing King of Spades are 1 in 936,000, according to the release. Currently, one top prize remains in the game.
