One dead in Forestbrook area crash, SC Highway Patrol continues to investigate
One person died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in the Forestbrook area.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Brian Lee said the wreck happened on Burcale Road around 8 a.m. A driver of a 2002 BMW crossed the center line and hit a 2011 Cadillac.
The driver of the Cadillac died and the Horry County Coroner’s Office has not identified the victim.
The BMW driver went to the hospital, Lee said.
Both drivers wore seatbelts, Lee said. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal collision.
