Body found in Intracoastal Waterway near Little River, Horry County police say
Horry County police are investigating after a body was found near the Intracoastal Waterway.
Officers went to the waterway near Little River Drive around 1:40 p.m. for a report of a body found, according to Horry County police. Authorities have not said what led to the person’s death, and the Horry County Coroner’s Office has not identified the victim.
Police say there is no risk to the community, though the case remains under investigation.
Little River Drive is near the Vereen Memorial Gardens and the North Carolina-South Carolina state line.
