NC woman on a mission to find wedding rings after losing them in Myrtle Beach
A North Carolina woman is on a mission to find her missing wedding rings after a trip to Myrtle Beach and needs your help.
Durham resident Whitney Mitchell was shopping at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store on Seaboard Street in Myrtle Beach this week when her platinum engagement ring and wedding band slipped off her hand. Mitchell, who is seven months pregnant, said she’s been searching the store since.
“I’m 7 months pregnant and my fingers are swollen, so I moved the rings from my ring finger to my pinky finger,” Mitchell said. “I’ve been wearing them like that for a few weeks, and I didn’t think they could fall off, but they did.”
Mitchell said she was in Lowe’s on Tuesday from 3:08 p.m. to 3:33 p.m, and is asking for the community’s help in furthering the search. She was shopping in the electrical, caulk, blinds, thresholds and flooring aisles during her trip to the store.
While the engagement ring features two rows of diamonds along the band, the wedding band is corresponding, but with one row of small diamonds, she said.
“I’ve searched high and low through Lowe’s since that day, and I will keep searching Lowe’s,” she said.
If anyone finds the ring, please email ayoung@thesunnews.com or call Whitney Mitchell at 919-480-9277.
