SC Highway patrol: Pedestrian killed in overnight crash in Horry County

A pedestrian was killed in a crash on S.C. 90 in the North Myrtle Beach area Tuesday night, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.

A Toyota Avalon was traveling east on S.C. 90 near Strawberry Road when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway, said Master Trooper Brian Lee with SCHP.

The driver was wearing a seat belt, Lee said.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian as Allen Cox, 57, of Longs.
