Pedestrian dies after being struck by a vehicle in Little River on Sunday morning
A 37-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning in Little River.
The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Pamela Harding of the Little River area.
Horry County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to 4371 Baker St. at 6:04 a.m. Saturday for the report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. According to Lance Cpl. with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, at 6 a.m. a 2018 Dodge Ram struck Harding, who was in the roadway, while driving north on Baker Street near North Horseshoe Drive, four miles north of North Myrtle Beach.
The driver of the Ram, the vehicle’s lone occupant, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, Tidwell said.
The SCHP is continuing to investigate.
