Horry County police ask for help finding parents of infant found alone in Carolina Forest

Update: HCPD says the child has been reunited with his caregiver.

Horry County police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the family of an approximate 1-year-old who was found alone Friday along Kent Lane in Canterbury Apartments near Carolina Forest.

Police were notified of the missing child after responding to the area around 7 p.m. The child was wearing a red and white striped, long-sleeve shirt.

“Please help us find his family,” HCPD stated in a Facebook post.

Police ask that anyone with information that will help identify him or provide information to help locate his parents call them at 843-248-1520 immediately. The child is currently in the care of Horry County police and firefighters.
