Bicyclist hurt after collision with car on Highway 501 in Horry County
A bicyclist was hurt after a collision with a car on Highway 501 on Monday afternoon.
Crews responded to the crash near Waccamaw Boulevard around 2:15 p.m., according to Horry County Fire Rescue. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital. The extent of that person’s injuries is unknown.
The driver of the car was not injured.
South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the wreck.
Officials ask drivers to avoid the area as lanes are closed and traffic is restricted in the area.
