Want to watch classic movies drive-in style in nature? Here’s Thompson Farm’s lineup
Miss the old days of drive-in movies?
If so, Thompson Farm at Brickyard Plantation in Conway can help you satisfy that fix.
The venue recently announced its Drive-In Movie Summer Series 2020 on the Farm, a classic movie presentation. The first showing is scheduled for Friday and each goes from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Tickets — which are $9 for adults (age 12 and older), $5 for children (ages 5-11) and free for kids 2 and younger — will be sold on Thompson Farm’s website and must be printed for redemption. Tickets are limited and will be sold one order per car, and some will be sold on site the night of the showing if available.
To promote social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic, there will be designated car viewing. Trucks can be backed into parking spaces to allow for bed viewing. Those attending are expected to stay in or around their vehicle while viewing.
“This practice reduces the number of spots available, so please keep in mind that people that arrive together in the same vehicle must stay together,” the farm stated via its Facebook event.
Concessions will be available.
Below are the scheduled showings (adjusted as of June 18):
- June 19: Grease
- June 26: Trolls
- July 3: Footloose
- July 10: The Secret Life of Pets 2
- July 17: Dirty Dancing
- July 24: Frozen
- July 31: Rocky
