One hurt in wreck off International Drive. Horry County crews on scene

One person was hurt in a wreck off International Drive Thursday morning.

The injuries appeared to be significant as Horry County Fire Rescue Crews held up tarps to block the public’s view of the scene. One person was loaded on a stretcher behind the tarps.

The crash was reported around 11:20 a.m. near Ocean Bay Elementary School.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and one trooper declined to comment on the wreck.

Two lanes of International Drive were blocked to traffic as crews tended to the scene.
