Ready for some Big Air? ‘Next generation’ trampoline park to open in Myrtle Beach

A unique way to get “big air,” have a little competition and move your muscles is coming to Myrtle Beach.

Big Air Trampoline Park is set to open Saturday at 3820 S. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. The 40,000-square-feet spot will offer attractions for all ages including foam pits, a trapeze, virtual reality games on trampolines, dodgeball, rock climbing and a kids section.

“We are the next generation trampoline park,” said Robert Floyd, general manager and owner. “We have a unique attraction mix that attracts all ages. I was a chiropractor before and I like getting kids off devices, I like families playing together.”

Big Air plans to have a first responder and military night Friday ahead of its grand opening. Guests will have to purchase $3 socks, which enhances the jumping experience.

Along with its trampolines and technological games, Big Air has a cafe, arcade and event and party rooms.

Devin Gomez, Big Air Myrtle Beach’s marketing and events manager, said dodgeball tournaments will be encouraged, as well as work groups visiting for team building exercises.

“We want people to have that come-back feel,” Gomez said. “We want to be that one-stop shop.”

The park operates using a reward card system so visitors can build points, instead of collecting tickets like some attractions. During the coronavirus pandemic, Big Air is implementing changes to practice social distancing and keep the park sanitized, Gomez said. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online to prevent lines at the door and hand sanitzer stations are placed throughout the park.
