A new Starbucks is coming to the Myrtle Beach area. Here’s what we know

A new Starbucks is coming to the Myrtle Beach area.

A “Coming Soon” sign featuring the coffeehouse’s logo is hanging near the building that used to house an Horry County State Bank branch bordering U.S. Highway 17 South and Palmetto Pointe Blvd. The hub, known for its coffee, tea and espresso concoctions, will be located at 4600 Highway 17 Bypass South.

The bank that previously inhabited that location closed last year, with construction on the Starbucks beginning last fall. The popular coffee chain, which will be located between Palmetto Pointe Church and Palmetto Spine and Pain Care Consultants, will also have a drive-thru.

An opening date for the Horry County location has yet to be announced.
