Police investigating traffic incident involving HCPD vehicle that sent one to hospital
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic incident involving an Horry County Police Department vehicle Sunday in Garden City Beach, according to police.
One person was taken to the hospital after an incident near Holly Avenue, Horry County police spokeswoman Mikayla Moskov said.
No one from HCPD was injured in the incident, according to Moskov.
The Horry County Police Department’s Professional Standards Division — which handles “all complaints pertaining to departmental policies or procedures which allege officer misconduct,” according to the HCPD website — will also be conducting an investigation, Moskov said.
