Broadway at the Beach starts to welcome back shoppers after stores closed for COVID-19
Shopping at one of Myrtle Beach’s most popular attractions is starting to resume after shuttering for the coronavirus pandemic. Broadway at the Beach posted on its Facebook page Tuesday that shops have started to reopen.
The announcement comes after South Carolina lifted its restriction that prevented some retail stores from remaining open during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Broadway officials recommend calling individual stores to see if they’re open. Hours may vary.
Rack Room shoes is open to the public, after closing except for curbside and online orders. The store is operating on modified 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours. Ron John Surf Shop announced that both of its Myrtle Beach locations, including Broadway at the Beach, reopened this week.
While some shops are reopening, the state’s State of Emergency order remains in place, preventing restaurants from resuming dining room service. Attractions are also closed at Broadway at the Beach per the state’s order.
“Attractions, entertainment and restaurants will begin to reopen once the Governor has given the okay for them to do so,” Broadway officials wrote in the post.
