Sunny weekend ahead: Here’s your Myrtle Beach area forecast

The sun is forecast to shine all weekend long, with high temperatures expected around 70 degrees in the Myrtle Beach area, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters are calling for clear skies and sunshine over the weekend, with some clouds expected Sunday. Sunshine is expected to last into the new week, though chances of rain are possible Tuesday, according to the NWS forecast.

Horry County parks and trails are still open to the public, but officials encourage folks to maintain social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic if they choose to visit the outdoor areas.

Here are the high and low temperatures over the weekend, according to the NWS:

  • Friday: High 71, low 49
  • Saturday: High 69, low 53
  • Sunday: High 69, low 57
