Stressed out: Video shows Grand Strand man taking out emotions in the wrong way

OK, let’s all admit the obvious we’re all stressed and want to get out of the house. Still, “don’t be that guy.”

Pawleys Island police posted on social media a video of a overly frustrated taking out his emotions at a closed beach access. The department shared surveillance video of the man angrily moving barricades to the 1st Street beach access.

The unidentified man grabs and tosses one barricade and slides the other out of the way to clear a path to the beach. Manners are not completely lost, as he picks up debris left behind - and moves that too.

“The stress must be getting to some folks... First Street Beach access has been closed since Hurricane Dorian. I guess this fella feels it should be open,” Pawleys Island police wrote in a tweet.

The department said the access was closed so that beach renourishment crews could store their equipment. It should be open in the coming weeks.

Until then, let’s not let the stress of coronavirus isolation get to us too much.

And remember, all Grand Strand beaches have multiple access points.
