No injuries reported in blaze near Myrtle Beach’s Restaurant Row

Nobody was hurt in a fire at a storage building near Myrtle Beach’s Restaurant Row.

Fire crews went to 9581 North Kings Highway for the reported blaze around 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Myrtle Beach Fire Lt. Jonathan Evans said the fire was in a facility used for storage. The building is set back off U.S. 17 near the Track arcade and the Best Western motel.

It took crews about 15 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

Fire trucks and police cars blocked two lanes of southbound U.S. 17 Bypass as crews worked to put out the fire.

Horry County Fire Rescue, Horry County police, Myrtle Beach police and the Department of Transportation helped at the scene.
