One of Myrtle Beach’s largest car and truck shows will be postponed after the city declared a state of emergency Sunday due to several cases of coronavirus in Horry County.

The 32nd annual Run to the Sun hosted by the Pee Dee Street Rodders is postponed to a later date, according to a post from the City of Myrtle Beach. The show was previously scheduled for March 19-21.

The event on Monday was rescheduled for Sept. 24-26.

“We deeply regret having to postpone the event,” Rodgers said.

Vintage cars and trucks typically gather yearly at the former Myrtle Square Mall lot.

Pee Dee Street Rodders said in a Facebook post Sunday evening organizers are “already working on rescheduling the show and will let you know as soon as this is done. We appreciate your understanding.”
