Here’s how to get your Mediterranean fix at a new Myrtle Beach restaurant
You will soon be able to satisfy your appetite with gyros, shish kebabs and falafel as a new Mediterranean restaurant plans to open its door in Myrtle Beach.
Bosphorus Grill is set to have its grand opening Friday and will be operated by a husband and wife, who say their friends encouraged them to open up a restaurant and share their love for cooking with the community.
Emin Gungor and his wife Maria Lita say the restaurant will serve Mediterranean and Greek food daily.
“We don’t want to get rich from this restaurant,” said Lita, who is originally from Romania. “It’s born from our passion. We do what we love.”
The restaurant, located in the Plantation Point Plaza at 1225 38th Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach, started after the couple began to host dinners at their home. Their friends always would compliment their cooking and told them they should open a restaurant.
“Our friends gave us hope,” Lita said.
Friday’s grand opening runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and customers may enjoy 10 percent off their meals.
Lita said the restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and will serve a different dessert weekly. Delivery is also available, she said. In addition to traditional gyros, kebabs and falafel, the restaurant’s menu includes wraps, sandwiches and all entrees are served with two side choices.
