One person dies in overnight fire at Loris home, officials say

One person is dead after a fire broke out at a home in Loris early Monday, said Tony Casey, Horry County Fire Rescue spokesperson.

Crews were called to the fire at a mobile home on Deckfield Court about 3:43 a.m. An Horry County police report lists the victim as a man.

HCFR and Horry County police are investigating the scene. The coroner’s office has not released the victim’s name.
