One dead, one hurt in crash on U.S. 701 in Horry County
One person died and another person was hurt in a crash on U.S. 701 Tuesday evening.
A 2007 Dodge Caliber drove south on U.S. 701 when it crossed the center line and hit a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, said Brian Lee, Master Trooper with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The crash happened near Allsbrook Road around 5:45 p.m.
The driver of the Dodge died in the crash, Lee said. The Horry County Coroner’s Office has not identified the victim.
The driver of the pickup truck went to the hospital, Lee said.
