This Myrtle Beach resort will soon look different after multi-million dollar face lift

Room upgrades and new outdoor amenities are part of a $50 million project at a Myrtle Beach resort.

The Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort and Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort, both part of Kingston Resorts, are undergoing renovations and repositioning, according to a release.

Phase one of the renovation began in January at the Hilton to redesign 385 rooms and bathrooms. Outdoor areas are planned to be upgraded with fire pits and games. The project, costing $20 million, is expected to be completed by June.

The second phase of the project, costing $30 million, will follow at Embassy Suites. The release did not specify details about renovations at Embassy Suites.

Kingston Resorts is owned by EOS Investors LLC, a privately held real estate investment firm. Along with the two resorts, the 157-acre property has more than 1,600 residential condos and townhomes, according to the release.
