Details on when & where Democratic candidates will be in Horry County as primary nears

Horry and Georgetown counties will be a hot spot for Presidential candidates ahead of South Carolina’s Feb. 29 Democratic primary.

While the current slate of candidates vying for the nomination will be traveling throughout the state, Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders and billionaire Tom Steyer will hold campaign events in the Myrtle Beach area this week. Check below for event dates and times.

Bernie Sanders

Feb. 26 at 3 p.m.: Bernie 2020 Rally in Myrtle Beach

Sanders’ second Myrtle Beach appearance will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The free event is open to the public with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Entry is on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is encouraged.

Joe Biden

Feb. 26 at 2:15 p.m.: Community Event with Joe Biden in Georgetown

The event will be held at Winyah Indigo Society Hall at 509 Prince St. with doors opening at 1:45 p.m. The event is open to the public, and those who wish to attend are encouraged to RSVP.

Feb. 27 at 6 p.m.: Community Event with Joe Biden and Vivica A. Fox in Conway

Biden will appear at Coastal Carolina University at the William-Brice Building in Conway. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Members of the public who wish to attend can RSVP here.

Tom Steyer

Feb. 26 t 1 p.m.: Meet and Greet in Georgetown

Those interested can meet Steyer at Bethel AME Church at 417 Broad Street for a 90 minute meet and greet event.

Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.: Meet and Greet in Myrtle Beach

Steyer’s event will take place at Nacho Hippo at The Market Common along Farrow Parkway in Myrtle Beach. The hour-long meet and greet will start at 6 p.m.
