Weather report: Here’s when rain will come and go in Myrtle Beach this week

It will be a rainy first half of the week in the Myrtle Beach area, forecasters say.

Grab your umbrellas - chances of showers are expected to start Monday evening and last through Wednesday night, according to a Monday morning forecast from the National Weather Service.

The sun will return Thursday and Friday, the weather service reports, giving the area a sunny start to the weekend with high temperatures around 50 degrees.

Low temperatures will begin to drop in the evening Wednesday night, bringing cooler nights through the end of the week, the NWS reports.

Here are this week’s high and low temperatures, according to the NWS:

  • Monday: High 60, low 54
  • Tuesday: High 68, low 60
  • Wednesday: High 66, low 41
  • Thursday: High 52, low 35
  • Friday: High 53, low 36
