Here’s where Horry County’s newest Taco Bell restaurant is being constructed

Taco Tuesday — or, well, taco any day — soon will be a more viable option for those in North Myrtle Beach.

The city is getting its second Taco Bell restaurant. The building — located in the 200 block of U.S. 17 North — has been going up for weeks and recently the taco chain’s sign was posted on it. It is located near the North Myrtle Beach Times and Cook Out, just north of 2nd Avenue North.

The new fast-food restaurant is located close to plenty of shopping, with the Gator Hole Walmart, Lowe’s Home Improvement and other stores nearby.

An email to Taco Bell corporate seeking an opening date was not immediately answered. The restaurant is not yet listed on Taco Bell’s website.

The new Taco Bell will be the northernmost one in Horry County. North Myrtle Beach’s other Taco Bell is located at 1209 U.S. 17 South.

Overall, the new restaurant will be the seventh Taco Bell in Horry County. The chain also has restaurants in Conway (2300 Church Street), Carolina Forest (1050 Glenforest Road), Socastee (4720 Socastee Boulevard), the Socastee/Surfside Beach area (108 Loyola Drive) and Myrtle Beach (1307 Kings Highway North).

The chain has one restaurant in Georgetown (245 Church Street) as well.
