A Conway man is now $250,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket last week, according to a release from the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The man, who is unnamed in the release, bought a scratch-off ticket at the Minuteman Food Mart on Church Street, landing him $250,000 from the “Spectacular Extra Play” ticket.

“I played it for the fun of it,” he said.

Four top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $10 game, with odds of winning at 1 in 750,000, according to the release.

Minuteman Food Mart received a commission of $2,500 for selling the claimed ticket.
