Stunts, acrobats and a big tent: Le Grand Cirque 2.0 coming to Broadway at the Beach
An internationally traveled group of acrobats who wow crowds with their stunts is coming to Myrtle Beach this summer.
Le Grand Cirque 2.0 will set up a tent at Broadway at the Beach, offering eight shows a week from June to October, according to a release.
The group acrobatics feature an international cast who are chosen for their “death-defying abilities and precision skills,” the release states.
Le Grand Cirque, brought to Myrtle Beach by Dublin Worldwide Productions USA, will perform shows in a 850-seat, air-conditioned tent.
The show returned to Myrtle Beach this past summer, erecting the performance tent in the parking lot of the Waccamaw Center – formerly the Waccamaw Pottery.
Le Grand Cirque and affiliated shows were a staple of the Palace Theatre for a few years before the performing arts venue was damaged by Hurricane Matthew in October 2016 and demolished in April 2017. Dublin Worldwide Productions, which has one of its five global offices in Myrtle Beach, acquired the show’s production company.
Shows will run from June 1 to Oct. 3, and times are 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with matinees at 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tickets range between about $35 to $50 for adults and are $12.95 for children 12 years old and younger.
