Here is when and why a downtown Conway eatery and store is closing its doors

Succotash, a downtown Conway upscale cooking store and eatery, is relocating due to a military redeployment within the ownership family.

Over the summer of 2019, Melissa and Fred Woriax opened the store with the hopes of bringing fresh and local ingredients to the downtown area. It served meals, held wine tastings, offered a craft beer menu and taught classes on cooking and baking.

Fred Woriax serves as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force. His redeployment out of the area is why their store is closing its current 3rd Avenue location on March 13, according to a Facebook post.

The post did not specify where the store will move to.

Leading into the final days, the store will have a 25 percent sale on all items, with alcohol 15 percent off. Meals and classes will continue until it closes.
