Cellular phone giant AT&T adding fifth Horry County location
Carolina Forest residents soon will have an AT&T store that’s conveniently located just off U.S. 501.
Cellular giant AT&T has a sign posted at 101 Debo Drive on Building 107 and has begun setting up equipment in the new retail store, which is in the Carolina Forest Commons shopping center. To the right of AT&T is an empty building and then Mod Pizza in Carolina Forest Commons, which is located just off 501 near West Perry Road.
AT&T has the store listed on its website, but the phone number for it was not connected as of Sunday; therefore, an attempt to find out an opening date was unsuccessful.
Currently, AT&T has local stores as part of HTC off U.S. 501 in Conway and in the Carolina Forest area off International Drive, and in and around Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach.
In 2018, AT&T announced it would be adding more than 1,000 new stores, though not all would be traditional brick-and-mortar locations.
“We’re working to make our customer interactions more convenient and seamless,” Rasesh Patel, senior executive vice president of AT&T Digital, Retail & Care, said in a 2018 prepared statement. “We designed our new stores to get you in and out quickly while you’re on the go, so you can enjoy more of your thing.”
