Update: 2-year-old girl reported missing in Socastee found safe

A 2-year-old girl who was reported missing in the Socastee area Friday was found safe, according to Horry County Police Department.

Adeline Maltese was wearing a blue sweat suit with roses and no shoes when she was last seen about 10 a.m. Friday near a home on Plantation Road, said Mikayla Moskov, HCPD spokesperson. Police said she was later found just before 12:30 p.m.

At noon Friday, Horry County police officers and its K9 team were searching on foot for Adeline.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
