Update: Missing child found safe in Longs after Horry County Police K9 teams dispersed

An 11-year-old boy who was reported missing near Longs was found safe shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday by Horry County Police. Michael Marsh had last been seen around 3 p.m. Thursday on Ashmun Road.

He has a seizure condition that requires daily medication so he was considered to be at risk.

Horry County patrol officers and K9 team members were in the area searching for Michael on foot and by car before 8 p.m., and Horry County Fire Rescue was called in to provide additional support and resources for the search.
