Brrr... Winter is here, but will it hang around? A look at your Myrtle Beach forecast

Frigid air will stick around through most of the week in the Myrtle Beach area, according to the National Weather Service.

After temperatures dropped into the 20s overnight, the Grand Strand is expected to have more cold nights and days ahead, with another couple of cold nights Tuesday and Wednesday. The NWS predicts Tuesday night’s low will drop to about 28 degrees and Wednesday’s low will be about 34 degrees in the Myrtle Beach area.

Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s Friday and Saturday, but will drop again into the 30s Saturday night, the NWS reports.

The area is expected to have sunny days, despite the cooler temperatures, through Thursday, but there is a chance of showers Thursday night through early Saturday morning, according to the weather service.

Here are high and low temperatures for Myrtle Beach in this week’s forecast outlook, according to the NWS:

  • Tuesday: High 42, low 28
  • Wednesday: High 49, low 34
  • Thursday: High 53, low 44
  • Friday: High 62, low 48
  • Saturday: High 60, 39
