New furniture store moving into former Toys “R” Us site in Myrtle Beach

To help fill the homes being built in Horry County, a new furniture store is opening up in Myrtle Beach.

The Havertys furniture store is moving into the former Toys “R” Us location off Mr. Joe White Avenue, according to a news release from the company. The building is 31,000 square feet and is set to open later this year in the Seaboard Commons shopping plaza.

Havertys, founded in 1885, has 15 locations across the Carolinas and 121 in the United States. This will be their first entry into the Myrtle Beach Market.

The store sells a variety of furnishings for all rooms in a house.
