Coroner: One person dies in early morning fire in the Conway area

One person has died after an early morning fire in the Adrian community, said Horry County Coroner Robert Edge.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the fatal fire just after 4 a.m. Wednesday on the 6200 block of Adrian Parkway.

Edge said the coroner’s office is trying to get in contact with family members of the victim and the identity of the victim will be released at a later time.

The fire is being investigated by Horry County Police Department.

Around noon, several members of Horry County Fire Rescue and Horry police were at the scene. The large, farm property was entirely blocked off by yellow police tape.

The fire was in a single-story home and destroyed the building. The smell of burnt materials was prevalent in the area.

A single-story home, a large farm garage and a mobile home sit on the property. A sign notes that Adrian Corporation is also located at the address.
