Update: Missing man last seen in Conway on a red moped has been located

The Conway Police Department said a missing man last seen on Saturday has been located and is safe, according to a news release.

James Allen Sheriff, 40, of Conway, was reported missing and was last seen by officers at the Sav-Way, at 604 Church St., wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt with a green hooded sweatshirt and operating a red Tao-Tao moped, police said. He was found and is safe, according to a 1:30 p.m. Monday update from police.

Officers think Sheriff may have sold the moped, the release states.

Sheriff was last seen by his spouse at the Trestle Bakery, at 308 Main St., on Friday, authorities said. Sheriff is 5-foot-11, 260 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
