Soho sushi, steaks and bar opening new location along the Intracoastal Waterway

A new Soho bar and restaurant is coming to Myrtle Beach’s Restaurant Row next to the Intracoastal Waterway.

A “coming soon” sign for Soho was placed outside a corner building of the Waterway Village across from Thoroughbred Steakhouse.

Owner Sam Lauren said while the first floor of the new location will be like the usual Soho, he is hoping to offer a more classy dining experience.

The second floor of the building will house a separate steakhouse serving an expanded menu, and there will be an outside tent for fine dining with a view of the waterway, Lauren said.

Soho is a steak and sushi restaurant with an extensive bar menu. It currently has a location on S.C. Highway 544 near Coastal Carolina University and in Myrtle Beach on Kings Highway. Lauren said people in the North Strand have asked him to open a new location.

“It took me a while to decide to do it, but we’re doing it,” he said. “It’s very exciting.”

The new location is expected to open ahead of Valentine’s Day.
