Traffic Alert: Six-car crash reported in North Myrtle Beach on Hwy. 17

Ambulances are on scene of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries in the North Myrtle Beach area Thursday.

Crews were called to the 1700 block of North Highway 17 near Little River Neck Road just after noon. North Myrtle Beach Spokesman Pat Dowling said there was a six-car pile up, sending three to four people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say an arrest was made at the scene of the crash.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area. Traffic is shutdown on southbound Highway 17 and vehicles are being re-routed down Old Highway 17.
